To achieve the greatest health benefits from water supply and sanitation provision improvements inhygiene should be made concurrently. For people to utilize and benefit sustainably from water and sanitation facilities they must adopt the appropriate hygiene practices and therefore hygiene promotion should be an integral part of water supply and sanitation.
